Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Developer(Remote)

Primary Responsibilities of the EDW Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Developer:

• Develop complex business intelligence solutions and support data strategy by leveraging subject matter expertise to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop complex dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data analyses to support business decision-making.
• Create and maintain a web-based portal using React.
• Improve the delivery and management of health and human services programs through advanced analytics, including algorithms, data visualizations, and maps.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts to create data marts in Teradata, and perform ad hoc SQL queries and reporting using claims, beneficiary, and provider data.
• Participate in project discussions to document requirements and recommend alternative technical solutions.
• Participate in unit, integration, and system testing to validate solution functionality and quality.
• Maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with all project stakeholders.
• Gather business requirements and analyze information from internal and external sources to evaluate program effectiveness and efficiency, supporting projects and change requests.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Support project managers and leadership in planning and execution activities, including presentations, risk and issue management, and status reporting.
• Demonstrate deliverables to project teams and customers, obtain approvals, and secure buy-in for implementing solutions or adopting new products, services, and programs.
• Collaborate with DBAs, data modelers, and application/system administrators to maintain Teradata environments and application server hardware and software, including patches, fixes, and upgrades, while following industry standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• More than five years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Tableau and Microsoft Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and analytics solutions.
• Proven expertise in developing high-performance SQL, with more than five years of experience creating complex SQL scripts using Teradata, DB2, and Oracle load utilities, as well as stored procedures.
• At least four years of experience developing complex applications and web-based solutions using React.js (ReactJS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong client-facing capabilities, and proven abilities in team collaboration and mentoring.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Business Technology.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and meet project deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to and collaborate effectively within team environments and organizational cultures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• More than two years of experience analyzing and delivering complex analytics solutions using Medicaid claims and enrollment data.
• At least two years of experience working on data warehouse projects.
• More than two years of experience administering Tableau Server.
• Experience working with SAP BusinessObjects.
• Experience developing solutions using Base SAS, SAS Analytics, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Experience in the state Medicaid, Medicare, and healthcare industries.
