About GoPratle

GoPratle is an online marketplace connecting event hosts with event professionals, including planners, performers and crew. Hosts discover professionals, post requirements, manage bookings and pay on the platform. Professionals build profiles, receive requirements, send proposals and get paid.

What You Are Getting Into

This is a live, deployed, full-stack production application with real users and real money moving through it. It is not a tutorial project or a sandbox. The platform includes:

1. Two user types with separate journeys: hosts (customers) and event professionals
2. A payments and transaction layer, with Razorpay for collections and Bulkpay for payouts
3. A separate admin panel where our team manages users, professionals, bookings and platform activity
4. A Node.js and Express backend on MongoDB, deployed on AWS with GitHub Actions CI/CD

You will be working inside this codebase from the first few weeks, and your work will ship to production.

What You’ll Work On

• Stabilise and improve the reliability of the existing platform, including debugging production issues and fixing edge cases without breaking live workflows
• Refine and polish the front end for both user types, turning Figma designs into production-ready screens
• Migrate public-facing pages to Next.js and make them SEO friendly
• Improve the admin panel, including user and professional management, bookings and operational workflows
• Work on payment flows, transaction status handling and payout-related features, under review
• Build and extend REST APIs, with proper validation, authentication and role-based access
• Take features from requirement to deployment: build, test, review, ship, verify

What We’re Looking For

• Final-year student or recent graduate from a reputed engineering college, serious about a career in software development
• Solid hands-on experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and Git
• Working knowledge of Next.js (routing, SSR/SSG, data fetching) and a good grasp of component-based, modular frontend design. A deployed Next.js project is a strong signal
• Projects you have built yourself and can explain in depth, ideally deployed. Chat (Socket.IO), notifications, invoicing, dashboards, multi-role apps or small SaaS tools are a strong plus
• Prior internship experience is a plus, not a requirement
• Comfort using AI coding tools to move fast, with the discipline to review, test and understand what they produce
• Ownership mindset, clear communication, and the ability to learn an unfamiliar codebase quickly

Good to Have

Tailwind CSS, AWS basics, GitHub Actions, payment gateway integration, role-based access control, SEO and web performance basics.

How We Work

You will work directly with the founder, shipping in small increments with regular code reviews. The pace is fast: with modern AI tooling, we expect work that once took weeks to be shipped in days. Speed matters, but working, tested software matters more. You are responsible for the quality of what you ship.
