You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

About The Team

At Clover, payments are at the absolute heart of our merchant experience. The Payments team owns the core transaction platform that processes billions of dollars in volume, serving hundreds of thousands of small and mid-sized businesses globally. We are constructing a highly reliable, low-latency transaction engine that guarantees correctness in every swipe, dip, tap, and click

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Clover's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot critical backend incidents, resolve API and microservice degradation, and ensure high availability of server-side infrastructure.

What You Will Need To Have

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 5+ years of Deep Java Development
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot
• 4+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services
• 3+ years of experience in SQL databases
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• 5+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
• 1+ years of working with AI Platforms

What Would Be Great To Have

• Experience in the Payments domain or eCommerce Solutions.
• Experience with AI Platforms

Salary Range

$140,000.00 - $210,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale, California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
