Founder's Office Intern - Tech

About the role
You will work directly with the founders on the tech + product initiatives that compound the Nirmaan Stack — our proprietary software platform that runs India's first tech-enabled MEP contractor end-to-end.

The Nirmaan Stack is live in production across 70+ projects. It covers the whole lifecycle — Sales CRM → AI BOQ Engine → Procurement → Project Intelligence → Cash Sheet → Project Record. The engineering team ships the platform. This role defines what gets built next.
You will own the product and tech initiatives that take the Stack from 'running the business today' to 'the first scaled operating system for an entire $17B industry.' That means product strategy, cross-team coordination, data + AI projects, and the occasional hands-on build to prove something fast.
What you'll do
• Own product initiatives inside the Nirmaan Stack. Define, scope, and ship new modules and workflows — from problem framing to live-in-production handoff.
• Partner with engineering on roadmap. Work alongside MTS engineers to translate business needs into technical priorities. You're not writing production code day-to-day, but you can build prototypes, pull data, and reason about systems well enough that engineering takes you seriously.
• Drive AI / automation projects. The AI BOQ Engine is live; the next generation of agentic workflows across procurement, project tracking, and documentation is the frontier. Scope and ship them.
• Instrument and measure. Define the metrics that tell us whether a new feature is working inside live client sites. Build dashboards; interpret them; iterate.
• Translate field learnings into product. Spend time with project engineers and sales teams; watch where the Stack is friction; propose and ship the fixes.
• Represent the Founder's Office in tech decisions. Participate in architecture reviews, vendor evaluations, build-vs-buy calls, and the quarterly product rhythm.

Required
• 0 - 1 years of experience at one or more of: product management at a high-growth startup, founding-engineer or technical-cofounder background, strategy / consulting with real tech exposure, or growth-stage ops with a demonstrated technical side
• Tier 1 engineering college graduate (B.Tech / B.E.) in CS, EE, Mech, or equivalent
• Hands-on technical fluency — you've written code (any modern language), you can read a codebase, you can query a database, you can build a prototype
• Comfort with SQL, dashboards, and reading JSON / APIs without hand-holding
• Strong product intuition — you've shipped features users actually care about, in a live system
• Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity; you ship rather than just scope
• Honest, evidence-first communication
• Can work 50–60 hours, 6 days a week during intense phases

Nice to have
• Experience with the Frappe Framework — our platform is built on it
• Prior AI / LLM product work — prompt engineering, agentic workflow design, embeddings, RAG, scoring systems
• Prior exposure to construction, MEP, infrastructure, or industrial B2B
• Founding-team or first-PM experience at a tech-enabled operations business
• Comfort with Python, React, PostgreSQL, Redis — our stack

Not a fit
• You want a pure product strategy / PRD-writing role. This is strategy + prototyping + shipping, with weight on the shipping end.
• You want to write production code every day. The MTS roles are for that.
• You can't tell a dashboard from a Jira ticket. The job needs real technical fluency to work with engineering as a peer.
• You want a 9–5 structured role. Early-stage reality is messier.
