Growth & Operations Associate

SteelShack combines engineering, fitness and design to bring serious training facilities to places where space has to work harder: homes, hotels, workplaces, clubs and holiday resorts.
We want to make space the last excuse for not training, and build SteelShack into a name the fitness industry recognises.
We're an early-stage startup, and we're looking for someone who wants to help make that happen: someone who wants to build a product, grow a brand and turn an ambitious idea into a real business.

Build the product. Build the business.
You'll work directly with the founder across sales, marketing, assembly and operations. One day you might be demonstrating SteelShack to a customer. The next, you could be filming an installation, preparing a quote or picking up tools to help assemble a unit.
You'll see the whole chain up close: how customer feedback becomes a product improvement, how a video becomes an enquiry, and how an enquiry becomes a finished installation.
Your work will include:
• Winning customers: answering enquiries, giving demonstrations, preparing quotes and following up
• Building the brand: filming, editing and creating content that makes people stop scrolling
• Delivering the product: helping with assembly, deliveries and installations at customer sites
• Keeping things moving: organising stock, tools, equipment and orders
• Making things better: spotting problems and helping improve both the product and the way we work

Who we're looking for
Someone who:
• Loves fitness and is excited by the product
• Is curious about engineering, design and how things work
• Wants to learn how to market, sell and grow a business
• Enjoys practical work and is happy using tools
• Communicates clearly and follows through on commitments
• Takes initiative, and knows when to ask for help
You don't need to know everything already. You do need energy, good judgement and a willingness to learn. Recent graduates, early-career applicants and people with practical experience are all welcome. We care about what you can contribute and how you approach a challenge.

Joining now means working closely with the founder while the product, brand and business are still taking shape. You'll gain experience across every side of a physical product business, own work that matters, and have the chance to take on more responsibility as SteelShack grows.
We're a startup, so we can't match big-company salaries, but we'll be completely upfront about what we offer and how we'll review it as you and the business grow.

The details
• Salary: £30,000 per year
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend installs or events
• Location: Wandsworth, London
• Start date: November–December 2026, flexible for the right candidate
• Requirements: full UK driving licence
