About the Role

We are seeking talented Junior Software Engineers to contribute to an AI training and evaluation project in collaboration with a leading AI research lab. In this role, you will help improve AI model performance on real-world software engineering tasks by evaluating AI-generated code, developing challenging programming problems, and providing detailed technical feedback.

This opportunity is ideal for software engineers with strong coding fundamentals, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, code quality, efficiency, maintainability, and software design.
• Develop challenging programming problems, reference implementations, and comprehensive test cases.
• Assess AI-generated solutions involving software architecture, debugging, and system design.
• Identify logical errors, implementation issues, and areas for improvement in AI-generated code.
• Provide clear, detailed technical feedback to support continuous improvements in AI model performance.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience at a leading technology company.
• At least some of this experience must have been gained within the past 3 years.
• Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to evaluate code critically.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions and reasoning clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with modern software development practices, debugging, testing, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with software architecture and system design fundamentals.
• Ability to assess multiple approaches to solving complex programming problems.
• Currently based in an English-speaking country.
