About the Role
We are hiring a Network Implementation Specialist to support parking technology deployments across customer sites. This is a hands-on, travel-heavy field role for someone with a strong IT or networking background who can help ensure our equipment is properly connected, communicating, and ready for use.
This person will work closely with the deployment lead during larger projects and, over time, may take ownership of smaller deployments independently. The role is especially important when network issues arise on-site, including problems with cabling, internet connectivity, local networks, switches, routers, modems, or coordination with property IT teams and internet service providers.
Parking industry experience is helpful, but not required. Networking experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on-site parking technology deployments from a networking and IT perspective.
- Troubleshoot internet and network connectivity issues during deployments.
- Test Ethernet/network lines to confirm cable quality, continuity, and proper data transmission.
- Identify when cabling needs to be repaired, re-terminated, replaced, or rerouted.
- Assist with pulling, routing, labeling, and organizing low-voltage/network cable when needed.
- Confirm that installed equipment is connected to the correct network and has reliable internet access.
- Work with installers, property teams, internet service providers, and internal staff to resolve deployment blockers.
- Validate that equipment is online and communicating properly before leaving a site.
- Document site conditions, issues found, steps taken, and remaining follow-up items.
- Travel frequently to deployment sites, including out-of-state projects.
Required Qualifications
- Networking or IT experience.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts such as LANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting network issues.
- Ability to test and diagnose Ethernet cabling issues.
- Comfortable using basic networking tools such as cable testers, laptops, network scanners, and device configuration interfaces.
- Willingness to assist with physical installation tasks, including pulling or replacing cable when needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills in live field environments.
- Clear communication skills with installers, customers, vendors, and internal team members.
- Ability to travel frequently for multi-day deployment work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-voltage cabling or structured cabling.
- Experience terminating Ethernet cable.
- Experience with access control, cameras, kiosks, gates, parking systems, or similar field technology.
- Parking industry experience.
- Familiarity with cellular modems, site routers, PoE switches, and remote connectivity tools.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CCNA, or similar.
Travel Requirements
This is a heavy travel role. Travel may be up to 70% depending on deployment schedules. A typical month may include being on the road 3-4 days at a time for 2-3 weeks out of the month.
Travel may include out-of-state projects, overnight stays, and occasional schedule changes based on customer or site needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a field-based role where frequent travel is expected.
