Looking for Your Next Opportunity in Finance Transformation Consulting or Advisory?

At DLA, our Finance Transformation practice, part of the Accounting & Financial Operations Advisory Group, helps public and private equity-backed organizations solve complex accounting, reporting, and operational challenges. You’ll help clients improve financial performance and scalability while building your expertise in automation, analytics, and finance technology. Our people-first, entrepreneurial culture offers meaningful client work, support for your professional development, and opportunities to grow into leadership.

We’re currently looking for a Finance Transformation Manager to join our AFO Advisory team in Dallas, New York City, Chicago, Boston, or New Jersey. If you're ready to help finance leaders modernize accounting operations, strengthen reporting, and adopt technology that supports growth, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

As a Finance Transformation Manager, you’ll lead workstreams that help clients improve financial operations, reporting, and decision-making. Your day-to-day may include:

  • Advise CFOs and finance executives on transformation strategies and priorities.
  • Lead transformation workstreams and develop roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Improve month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Build automation, analytics, and AI solutions to improve financial operations.
  • Use Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, and SQL for insights.
  • Support financial system selection, implementation, integration, and client technology adoption.
  • Guide change management and coordinate implementation with third-party solution providers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior consultants throughout engagements.

What You’ll Bring

We know great team members come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some things we typically look for:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, analytics, MIS, or related fields.
  • Bring 5+ years of management consulting or finance leadership experience.
  • Offer 3+ years advising or working with private equity-backed companies.
  • Bring technical accounting or finance operations experience; CPA certification a plus.
  • Apply working knowledge of US GAAP, audit practices, and operational finance.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with mid-market ERP, CPM, and governance platforms like BlackLine.
  • Synthesize complex analytics into clear reports using data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrate client advisory, project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
