Field Application Engineer - Canada

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for residential and C&I energy storage systems in Canada, including pre-sales solution support and post-sales service.
• Work closely with sales teams, distributors, EPCs, and installers to understand customer requirements and provide ESS solutions.
• Support system design, including system configuration, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), BOMs, and basic technical analysis.
• Provide remote and on-site support for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
• Ensure technical solutions comply with Canadian electrical standards, CSA requirements, and utility interconnection regulations.
• Deliver product training and technical presentations to customers, distributors, and installation partners.
• Collaborate with internal Product, R&D, and Service teams to improve customer experience and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, application engineering, system engineering, or field service within solar PV, ESS, inverter, or power electronics industries.
• Knowledge of residential and C&I solar-plus-storage systems and related installation practices.
• Ability to understand electrical drawings, SLDs, system layouts, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience working with distributors, EPCs, installers, or renewable energy partners.
• Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and grid connection requirements is preferred.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
