Software Developer (2 positions)

Newforma is the leading provider of Project Information Management software for architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms globally. We're hiring two developers to help maintain and evolve Newforma Project Center, our enterprise platform, as it moves toward a new AWS-based SaaS product.

Two teams, one profile

• Team Eagle (Project Center): maintain and improve our on-premise enterprise product. The stack is .NET Framework, a Windows Forms desktop client, Windows Server services, IIS/ASP.NET and MySQL, with REST APIs hosted in AWS.
• Team Raven (Outlook Add-in): build our React web add-in that runs inside Microsoft Outlook, backed by AWS services (mainly Lambda), with occasional server-side work in Project Center.

Both teams will take part in the transition to our new SaaS product, starting in 2027.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test and document features and fixes, following team standards.
• Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues with support and engineering.
• Take part in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Give and receive feedback in code reviews to keep code quality high.
• Occasionally support production systems outside business hours, with guidance from senior engineers.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with C# and .NET (.NET Framework is a strong asset).
• Experience with AWS.
• For Team Raven: experience with React.
• Bilingual in French and English (your team is based in both Quebec and the US).
• Follows best practices and clean code principles.
• Curious and takes initiative when solving problems; stays up to date with new technologies.
• Open to feedback, wants to be challenged and to challenge others.
• A team player who brings energy to the team and helps create a sense of belonging.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining a large or legacy enterprise application.
• Windows Forms, Windows services, IIS or SQL experience (Team Eagle).
• Node.js, TypeScript, or Outlook/Office add-in development (Team Raven).

Work environment

• Hybrid: this position requires at least 3 days a week at our Lévis office.
• Up to 10% travel for company and team events, including 3–4 trips a year to our head office in Manchester (USA).
