About Grit Growth

Grit Growth is a small, NYC-based team that works as an embedded operations and growth partner. We work closely with our clients to fix broken processes, build useful software and automations, and help run their businesses.

About the role

You'll work directly with the founder to help run and improve a software product for a client, alongside broader operations projects. You'll take ownership of product improvements and customer relationships.

We're a team of 2-3 people. Some days you'll be building something new with AI coding tools. Other days you'll be helping a customer, digging into a spreadsheet, or making sure a process runs properly. Following through on the everyday work matters as much as coming up with ideas.

No prior full-time experience is required. We care about what you've built, how you think, and whether you can take a problem and work through it.

What you'll work on

• Build and ship product features, internal tools, and automations. Take projects from figuring out what's needed through testing and delivery.
• Work with customers to understand what they need and turn their feedback into specific product improvements.
• Help customers get started, answer questions, and keep them updated while issues are being resolved.
• Improve client workflows, including reporting and routine operational tasks.

What we're looking for

• You're very comfortable building with AI coding tools. You've used them to create a working app, internal tool, automation, or product feature. You can get it working, troubleshoot problems, and check that the result works as intended.
• You communicate clearly in writing and on calls. You can explain something to a customer, ask useful questions, and follow up without being reminded.
• You're comfortable with data and spreadsheets, and you pick up new tools quickly.
• You take initiative, ask for help when you need it, and keep track of the details needed to finish a project.
• A computer science degree or similar technical background is a plus. We'd like to see something you've built.

A few things to know

The work will change as client needs change. You won't get a detailed spec for every project, and you'll need to help figure out what to do next. There's room to take on more responsibility as you learn the businesses and products we support.

US work authorization required.

Compensation

$65,000-$85,000/year depending on experience. Start date flexible.
