About the job
About NexusVoid AI
NexusVoid AI is building an Autonomous CISO platform: AI agents that handle repetitive security and compliance work, with human sign-off on decisions. We are looking for a security research intern to help verify security findings and turn hands-on testing into better agent workflows.
Role overview
You will support approved security assessments and research how testing methods can become repeatable test cases, playbooks and evidence for the platform. This role is for someone who enjoys understanding why a vulnerability exists, proving it safely and explaining how to fix it.
What you would do
- Support web, API, network and cloud security testing on approved, in-scope environments
- Reproduce and validate findings, identify false positives and capture clear evidence
- Document testing steps, attack paths and practical remediation guidance
- Help build test cases and testing playbooks that our security agents can follow
- Compare agent findings with manual testing and help improve their accuracy and reporting
- Research relevant CVEs, OWASP weaknesses and emerging security risks
- Retest fixes and help maintain an internal research and testing knowledge base
Who we are looking for
- Student or recent graduate in cybersecurity, computer science, IT or a related field
- Basic understanding of OWASP Top 10, HTTP, networking and Linux
- Familiarity with Burp Suite, Nmap, OWASP ZAP or similar tools through labs, coursework or projects
- Comfortable using Python or Bash for small testing and automation tasks
- Able to write clear reproduction steps and explain the impact of a finding
- Careful about testing permissions, scope and sensitive information
- CTFs, lab writeups, responsible bug-bounty work or security projects are a plus, not required
What you will learn
- How real security findings are verified, prioritised and reported
- How manual testing becomes repeatable workflows for AI security agents
- How research and client feedback shape a security product
