About PIQUE
PIQUE is a membership platform for serious collectors. Our iOS app helps members catalog, protect and manage collections across fashion, fine jewelry, watches, fine art, automobiles and more. Tier 2 membership offers a suite of concierge services including private placement (private sales), appraisals and valuations, repair and restoration, access to category specialists and insurance integrations. The app is in private beta, with public launch planned for late January 2027.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Growth Engineer to turn sign-ups into active, returning and paying members. You’ll own our growth plan and product analytics, using member behavior to identify opportunities, test improvements, measure what works and lead data-driven cross-team decisions.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Product, CEO and engineering team to improve the member experience and inform product decisions. We’re looking for someone who asks great questions, makes clear recommendations and knows when a simple test is more useful than a new feature.
The CEO sets company direction. The Head of Product owns the roadmap; you own growth experiments and measurement, with priorities and resources agreed together. You’ll use AI tools to support analysis, build prototypes and test ideas. Engineering owns the core platform and reviews any code you build before it goes into production.
What You’ll Do
The work falls into three primary areas.
Own product development & analytics
- Define and track activation, retention, collection growth, feature usage and paid conversion.
- Implement code to test conversion strategies.
- Own the measurement plan to ensure tracking is accurate.
- Maintain useful dashboards and share a regular readout of results, findings and recommended next steps.
- You will be responsible for researching, planning and implementing 3rd party API integrations.
Improve member growth and conversion
- Find and address where members drop off, from sign-up and adding their first item to returning regularly and upgrading.
- Run experiments across onboarding, engagement and paid conversion, with clear goals and measurable results.
- Partner with the CEO and brand team on waitlist, beta and launch growth efforts.
Help shape product decisions
- Use member behavior and experiment results to recommend what to improve, build or defer.
- Work with Product and Engineering to weigh expected impact against effort and launch priorities.
- Set success measures for major features and assess results after release.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience improving activation, retention or paid conversion in a live product, with results you can explain.
- Strong product analytics skills, including SQL, funnel and cohort analysis, event tracking and experiment design.
- The ability to turn analysis into a clear recommendation and follow through on execution.
- Comfort working with designers and engineers, and using AI tools for analysis, prototyping and everyday work.
- Good judgment, direct communication and the ability to work independently in an early-stage company.
- Product analytics and lifecycle messaging tools.
- Coding or building with AI, particularly in TypeScript, React Native or Supabase.
Strongly preferred
- Consumer subscription or membership products.
- An early growth hire, founder or similarly broad startup role.
- An interest in collecting, luxury or high-touch services.
Your First 90 Days
You’ll work alongside our current data and engineering lead through launch, then take ownership of growth and analytics.
- Write and deploy code: You will be an active member of the engineering team and will deploy to production within the first 90 days.
- Learn and establish a baseline: Understand the product and member journey, audit tracking, and establish reliable funnel and retention metrics.
- Test and improve: Address measurement gaps and run the first onboarding and activation experiments.
- Prepare for launch: Put a growth and measurement plan in place for January, with clear priorities for the first experiments after launch.
What Success Looks Like
The team has reliable metrics, understands where members drop off and uses that evidence to make product decisions. Your experiments deliver measurable improvements in activation, early retention and paid conversion.
