AI Specialist

About the Role

Serruya Private Equity is seeking an AI Specialist to support the practical adoption and implementation of artificial intelligence across our organization.

This role will work across multiple business functions—including finance, leasing and property, brand and franchise support, marketing, legal/administration, and deal-related work—to identify opportunities where AI can save time, improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce repetitive work.

The successful candidate will work closely with employees and leadership to understand existing processes, evaluate AI tools, implement practical solutions, train teams, and measure the impact of AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay current on emerging AI tools, platforms, and practical business applications.
• Meet with departments to understand existing workflows and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
• Map business processes and identify repetitive, manual, or time-consuming activities.
• Research, evaluate, and test AI tools and solutions.
• Recommend and implement AI-enabled workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and quality.
• Support AI applications for drafting, research, analysis, reporting, marketing, due diligence, document review, and operations.
• Develop prompts, templates, playbooks, and standardized workflows for employees.
• Train employees on the practical and responsible use of approved AI tools.
• Support the implementation and adoption of tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and other emerging platforms.
• Work with IT and business leaders to support appropriate AI integrations and implementation.
• Track AI adoption and measure results, including time saved, quality improvements, and employee usage.
• Maintain an inventory of AI tools being used across the organization and help reduce unnecessary duplication.
• Support the development of standards around confidentiality, data handling, accuracy, and responsible AI use.
• Identify tools or initiatives that are not delivering sufficient value and recommend improvements.
• Provide research and analysis to leadership regarding emerging AI capabilities, opportunities, and risks.
• Assist with broader automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in AI enablement, business analysis, digital transformation, automation, technology consulting, process improvement, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of generative AI and its practical business applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate operational challenges into practical solutions.
• Strong research and technology evaluation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable training and supporting non-technical employees.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees across multiple departments.
• Strong judgment regarding confidential and sensitive business information.

Nice to Have

Experience with workflow automation, AI agents, APIs, or low-code/no-code platforms would be an asset, as would experience with Microsoft 365/Copilot. Exposure to private equity, finance, real estate, franchising, retail, marketing, or professional services would also be beneficial.
