Your responsibilities

Salary based on experience/education: $80,000 - $95,000 / annually.

12.5% annual bonus potential

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance through reliability engineering, maintenance planning, condition-based and preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and technical support. The role also ensures maintenance material readiness by managing equipment BOMs, critical spare parts, stock utilization, technical sourcing, vendor coordination, SAP purchase requisitions, and procurement follow-up so required parts and repairs are available when needed

  • Lead and support reliability engineering strategies to improve equipment availability, maintainability, performance, and lifecycle cost.
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies using equipment history, failure data, operating manuals, and technical analysis.
  • Own maintenance planning and material readiness for repairs, planned work, overhauls, and improvement activities, including BOMs, critical spare parts, stock levels, and emergency material requirements.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, major repairs, rebuilds, retrofits, and equipment or assembly overhauls.
  • Analyze downtime, repeat failures, MTBR/MTTR, OEE, spare-parts consumption, and maintenance cost to identify reliability improvement priorities.
  • Coordinate technical sourcing with vendors and Procurement, including quotations, equivalent-part options, SAP purchase requisitions, lead-time follow-up, and delivery status.
  • Maintain accurate equipment documentation, maintenance KPIs, cost information, work standards, and material master/BOM data.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance-related projects, contractor activities, and new or modified equipment installations.

Your profile

Qualifications:

  • Education/Credentials/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automation Engineering or related field

Or

Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, Automation or related field required with 6 years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Length of Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting

  • Prior maintenance or mechanical engineering experience in a Machining setting is preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, root cause analysis, equipment criticality, preventive/predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring.

  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery using mechanical, alignment, hydraulic/pneumatic, and condition-monitoring tools.

  • Strong understanding of automated manufacturing equipment; CNC experience is desired.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power-transmission systems and components.

  • Working knowledge of electronics and automated controls for interdisciplinary troubleshooting.

  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, manuals, technical specifications, and vendor documentation.

  • Ability to evaluate spare parts and equivalent components based on fit, function, performance, and application.

  • Knowledge of BOMs, critical spares, inventory optimization, obsolescence, and repair-versus-replace decisions.

  • SAP knowledge is desired for daily material searches, BOMs, purchase requisitions, maintenance records, and transactions.

  • Ability to analyze downtime, MTBR, MTTR, OEE, failure frequency, parts usage, and maintenance cost.

  • Strong planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills for both urgent machine-down needs and planned work.

  • Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to operate tools and equipment when necessary in an industrial manufacturing environment.
