Backend Engineer

About CLOZR

Ad platforms tell D2C brands one revenue number. Stripe and the bank tell them another. Almost nobody measures the gap between the two. CLOZR reconciles them so brands see their real ROAS, CAC and margins.

The role
You'll be our second engineer, working directly with our CTO. You'll own the backend: the integrations that pull data from Meta, Google, TikTok, Stripe and bank accounts, the engine that matches ad-reported revenue with real payments, and the reliability of everything in between.

Your first 90 days

Harden our existing integrations so data arrives complete and on time
Make connecting a new brand's accounts fast and close to self-serve
Improve the matching logic between ad-attributed orders and real payments

What we're looking for

1+ years building backend systems in production
Real experience with third-party APIs, ideally payments or ad platforms
Comfortable with messy data: refunds, duplicates, currencies, timezones, delayed events

How we work
This is a founding-level role. You keep your current job, and the time you give CLOZR is held to founder standards: full focus, clear ownership, no half-done work. Everyone writes a short async update after each work block, and there's a weekly call with the CTO. We need someone who flags problems early and says "I'm stuck" out loud. For us that matters as much as technical skill.
