ME Engineers is seeking a talented and motivated Experienced Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineering professional who can work independently and is passionate about delivering high-quality building systems solutions in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Technology) consulting industry.

As part of our team, you'll work on projects across commercial, healthcare, education, sports, government, hospitality, and institutional markets. You will contribute to engineering design, project coordination, construction administration, and project leadership while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects from concept through construction. This position also plays an important role in supporting the growth of our local office and Commissioning Department through leadership and business development efforts.

Projects are located throughout the United States, and this position requires approximately 25-50% travel.

What You'll Do

  • Lead commissioning and engineering projects from concept through construction.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Direct and support commissioning activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related building systems.
  • Review and evaluate building system designs, performance, and operational requirements.
  • Perform technical analyses, system evaluations, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, functional testing, and construction administration activities.
  • Utilize and coordinate internal resources to successfully execute projects.
  • Support business development and client relationship management efforts.
  • Represent ME Engineers as a trusted technical resource and client partner.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff.
  • Apply industry standards, codes, and best practices throughout project work.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering; related engineering disciplines may be considered.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in commissioning, MEP consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience commissioning or designing and coordinating complex mechanical systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • CxA, CxP, BCxP, or similar commissioning certification preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, project coordination, and client interaction.
  • Proven leadership skills with project teams and staff.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
