About the job
As an Detection Engineer, you you bring solid software development skills in either Rust, C, C++ or similar and deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux & Windows), ideally with a proven background in building detection logic. You understand what it takes to design detection pipelines that are robust, modular, and production-ready, moving seamlessly from architecture to code.
You will be one of the first engineers responsible for building the foundation that powers Haste’s cutting-edge threat detection engine for hybrid HPC, emergent tech and enterprise environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Threat Engine Architecture – Implement and maintain core backend components for Haste's threat engine across HPC, AI, quantum, and enterprise environments.
- Software Development – Contribute to a robust, modular workflow engine—optimized for Linux/Windows at compute scale.
- Code Quality – Uphold engineering best practices, testing, and reliability standards across the platform codebase.
- Enterprise Software Engineering – Write and maintain production-level code used by global enterprises and government clients.
- Integration – Work with our research, cyber threat intelligence and design teams to ensure seamless operation across hybrid environments.
- Pipeline Design – Build scalable APIs, orchestration logic, and improve internal tooling, automation, and CI/CD workflows.
