About the job

About iCustomer
iCustomer is the Agentic Decision OS for Growth Marketing used by 100+ clients including American Eagle, Cisco, Untuckit and Crusoe to turn audience intelligence into decisions and orchestration with learning loops. We're a venture-backed, US-headquartered startup with a growing India team building the next category in growth marketing infrastructure helping growth teams optimize ROAS, CAC, and LTV. Customers don't just buy software from us, they buy outcomes.

The Role
We're hiring a hands-on QA Engineer to own quality across our platform—web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations. You'll work directly with engineering and product to make sure what we ship works for customers.

Our product turns data into decisions and actions. An incorrect score, missing record, or broken audience sync can affect a customer's campaign. You'll dig into those details, test complete workflows, and help us catch issues before customers do.

You'll have room to shape our testing approach, build automation, and challenge requirements when something doesn't add up. We want someone who takes a feature from “looks good” to “ready to ship.”

What You'll Do
Product Quality & Release Ownership

Own functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing across the platform.

Turn requirements into practical test scenarios, including edge cases and failure paths.

Test complete customer journeys—from uploading a list to enriching, scoring, building audiences, and activating them.

Run release checks, communicate risks clearly, and verify fixes before they reach customers.

API & Data Validation

Test APIs for correct responses, authentication, error handling, and unexpected inputs.

Use SQL to validate data accuracy, completeness, transformations, and consistency.

Catch duplicates, missing fields, incorrect mappings, and partial processing failures.

Validate CRM and marketing integrations, including sync behavior, retries, and failed updates.

Test Automation

Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

Prioritize automation for critical workflows and recurring issues.

Work with engineering to bring reliable automated checks into CI/CD.

Keep tests useful as the product evolves—investigate failures and reduce flaky checks.

Customer Experience & Team Collaboration

Look beyond whether a feature works: flag confusing flows, unclear errors, and dead ends.

Reproduce customer-reported issues using logs, browser tools, API responses, and data.

Write bug reports that help engineers move quickly: clear steps, expected behavior, actual results, and impact.

Bring findings into product discussions and help prevent repeat issues.

Who You Are
2–4 years of QA experience testing web applications, ideally SaaS products.

Strong in manual and exploratory testing—you know how to find issues a checklist misses.

Hands-on with API testing using Postman or similar tools.

Comfortable writing SQL to investigate and validate data.

Experience building automated tests with at least one modern framework.

Comfortable using browser developer tools, logs, and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Linear.

Clear written and spoken English. You can explain a bug and its customer impact without a long back-and-forth.

Comfortable with changing priorities and evolving requirements.

Ownership mindset. You follow issues through resolution and speak up when a release carries risk.

Curious and practical—you ask questions, investigate, and help the team move forward.

Bonus Points
Worked at an early-stage startup.

Tested AI-powered features, data enrichment, audience platforms, or analytics products.

Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or advertising platform integrations.

Familiarity with BigQuery, Snowflake, or ETL pipelines.

Experience with performance testing and CI/CD.

Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Logistics
Location: Remote, India-based
Hours: Meaningful overlap with US Eastern Time (expect ~4–5 hours daily overlap, including customer-facing calls).
Type: FTE
Compensation: Competitive comp + performance bonus tied to customer outcomes + tools/ equipment]
Reports to: Jose Chan, COO
