About the job

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–10 years of experience to support the reliability and mechanical integrity of static equipment in an industrial/process plant environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on troubleshooting, equipment reliability, inspections, and repair planning.

Responsibilities

  • Support pressure vessels, heat exchangers, air-cooled heat exchangers, tanks, piping, and other fixed equipment.
  • Troubleshoot leaks, corrosion, vibration, fatigue, thermal movement, and other equipment issues.
  • Review inspection/NDE results and develop repair, replacement, monitoring, or continued-service recommendations.
  • Support pipe stress, piping vibration, thermal growth, and flexibility evaluations.
  • Develop repair scopes, engineering recommendations, MOC documentation, and equipment improvement plans.
  • Participate in field inspections, walkdowns, turnarounds, PSSRs, and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Reliability, Projects, contractors, and vendors.
  • Apply applicable ASME, API, TEMA, and mechanical integrity standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 3–10 years of mechanical engineering experience in petrochemical, refining, LNG, chemical, power, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Experience with static/fixed equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 510, API 570, API 579, API 653, API 660/661, and TEMA.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, piping isometrics, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and field engineering skills.

Preferred

  • LNG, cryogenic, refining, petrochemical, or process plant experience.
  • Pipe stress, vibration, or CAESAR II experience.
  • Air-cooled heat exchanger inspection and reliability experience.
  • Knowledge of CUI, RBI, fitness-for-service, damage mechanisms, and remaining-life assessments.
  • Experience with COMPRESS, PV Elite, HTRI, SAP, or APM/Meridium.
  • EIT, PE, or API certifications.
