Physics Expert – Task Based

LOCATION: You must be based in one of these eligible countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, or Vietnam. Applicants outside these locations will be automatically rejected.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: No fixed minimum is stated, but your resume must clearly show directly relevant physics, research, analytical, or AI-evaluation experience. Applications without supporting experience will be automatically rejected.

EDUCATION: A PhD or doctorate in Physics, Applied Physics, or an equivalent technical field is mandatory. Apply only if you meet this requirement.

We are hiring Physics Experts for a 12-week remote contract supporting advanced AI evaluation and training.

What you will do

• Design and solve challenging physics problems for large language model evaluation.
• Create clear, gold-standard, step-by-step solutions with detailed reasoning.
• Work with researchers to target model weaknesses in abstraction, symbolic manipulation, and multi-step reasoning.
• Help define evaluation benchmarks across undergraduate through PhD-level physics.

Requirements

• PhD or doctorate in Physics, Applied Physics, or an equivalent technical field.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and written English skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide detailed feedback in a remote environment.
• Personal computer and reliable high-speed internet.

Engagement and compensation

• Contractor role for approximately 12 weeks.
• At least 4 hours per day, up to 40 hours per week, including 4 hours overlap with PST.
• Compensation: $80 per approved task.
• Selection includes an interest check, assessment, and delivery review.
