Senior Security Automation Engineer

Role: Security Automation Engineer

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their business, security, and IT workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
• Scope, design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows or "Stories" based on customer requirements.
• Analyze existing customer processes, tools, and pain points to develop effective automation solutions.
• Determine which workflows are suitable for automation and identify potential technical blockers or dependencies.
• Integrate security and IT tools using REST APIs and other integration methods.
• Interpret API documentation and troubleshoot API connectivity and authentication issues.
• Work with authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Conduct customer demonstrations and present automation solutions and workflow designs.
• Create wireframes and workflow concepts during customer discussions.
• Partner with Project and Engagement Managers to align on project scope, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
• Collaborate with customers on testing strategies and validate that automation workflows meet requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience in Professional Services, Security Engineering, Security Automation, SOAR, or similar automation platforms.
• Strong experience implementing and supporting SOAR or security automation solutions.
• Strong customer-facing and consulting experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating customer workflows into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
• Experience interpreting and applying API documentation.
• Hands-on experience with API authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting APIs across security and IT platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
