Position Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Basic Functions

The Cybersecurity Engineer will work with utility clients to assess their cybersecurity needs, design and implement solutions, and provide ongoing support. They will be part of a team of experts who are passionate about protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats. They will also have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and develop their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

1. Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits for utility clients.
2. Design and deploy cybersecurity solutions based on industry standards and best practices.
3. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for cybersecurity issues.
4. Monitor and report on cybersecurity performance and compliance.
5. Research and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies

Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Conduct cybersecurity risk analysis and gap assessment for utility clients
2. Develop and document cybersecurity policies, procedures, and plans
3. Configure and install cybersecurity tools and systems, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, authentication, etc.
4. Perform vulnerability scanning, review cybersecurity frameworks, and incident response
5. Train and educate utility staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices

Qualifications

The Cybersecurity Engineer candidate will need the following qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in the utility sector
2. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GSEC
3. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, NERC, etc.
4. Proficient in cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members
7. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
