About the job
Role: Develop, extend, and maintain Fiori apps, including both metadata-driven Fiori Elements floorplans and freestyle SAPUI5 applications.
*Core Competencies (Must-Have)
*
• Strong knowledge of SAPUI5/OpenUI5: MVC architecture, XML views, controllers, fragments, custom
controls, formatters, and expression binding
• JavaScript (ES6+), increasingly TypeScript; HTML5, CSS3, LESS
• Fiori Elements: Understanding of floorplans (List Report, Object Page, Overview Page, Analytical List Page,
Worklist) and how they are controlled through annotations; ability to implement targeted extensions beyond
configuration, using extension points, custom sections, custom actions, and controller extensions
• OData V2 and V4 on the consumer side, including draft handling (V4)
• Ability to read and write annotations: UI annotations, annotation.xml (local annotations), and backend CDS
annotations
• SAP Fiori Launchpad: semantic objects, target mappings, tiles, and intent-based navigation
• SAP Fiori Design Guidelines, Horizon theme, and responsive/adaptive design
Tools & Environment
• SAP Business Application Studio or VS Code with SAP Fiori tools (App Generator, Guided Development,
Annotation Modeler)
• UI5 Tooling, Node.js/npm, Git
• Deployment: BSP repository (ABAP, /UI5/UI5REPOSITORYLOAD) and/or BTP (HTML5 apps, managed
approuter, Work Zone)
• Testing: OPA5, QUnit, ideally wdi5
