Role: Provide and extend OData services, including business logic and authorizations, as the backend for Fiori Elements and freestyle apps.

• Strong knowledge of ABAP and ABAP OO
• Classic SAP Gateway stack (relevant to ECC): SEGW, DPCEXT/MPCEXT redefinitions, service
registration and activation (/IWFND/MAINTSERVICE, /IWFND/ERRORLOG) - the stack on which your
current freestyle apps, such as ZSPAR_UNLOCK, run
• Core Data Services (CDS): View entities, associations, annotations (@UI, @OData, @Search,
@ObjectModel), and metadata extensions to separate the data model from UI annotations
• OData V2 and V4 on the provider side
• Annotation-based value help / search helps, determination and validation logic
• Authorizations: PFCG, authorization objects, and DCL (access control) for CDS
S/4HANA Readiness (Must-Have for the Brownfield Target Environment)
• RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model): Behavior definitions and implementations, service definitions,
service bindings (V2/V4), managed vs. unmanaged scenarios, draft handling, actions, and side effects
• Clean core principles: released APIs, released objects, ABAP Cloud / developer extensibility, and avoidance
of modifications
• Understanding of migrating classic services to RAP as part of a brownfield transformation

• CDS performance tuning, HANA-optimized SQL, and analytical CDS views
