Technical Sales Representative

NAG Marine is seeking a outside Technical Sales Representative to join our team to drive business growth in the US Government and commercial maritime markets with focus on the US Navy (crewed & autonomous vessels), United States Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and related modernization and new build shipyards.

A core competence in specifying embedded computers and servers into control & monitoring, combat & self-defense, navigation or other shipboard systems is desired. This experience aligns with NAG Marine’s strategic initiative to expand our support of the US Navy and industrial base in the proliferation of autonomous systems and capabilities across the flee

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop new customers/sales and drive revenue growth at existing accounts
• Possess a strong working knowledge of current industrial, ruggedized embedded & edge computing and server technologies
• Serve as the internal technical resource for these core technologies; pathway to Product Management
• Maintain a high technical acumen on existing and emerging technologies across the full range of our products
• Travel to customer sites and participate in trade shows and industry events
• Lead technical proposal development for large contract proposals and new business opportunities
• Remain engaged through the complete sales cycle, from initial customer contact through fielded product support.
• Participate in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Required Experience, Clearance and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Engineering, or other technical degree
• Eligible to secure a Secret Clearance
• 2+ years of technical sales experience
• Desire to learn technical aspects of the product lines
• Capable of working in a team environment
• Able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Skills

• Government sales experience
• Experience with shipboard instrumentation & control systems, and/or embedded computing hardware.
