Job Summary
The Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and security of the organization’s enterprise network and systems infrastructure. This role blends hands-on network engineering with systems and cloud administration, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on-premises and Microsoft cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration
- Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN environments.
- Administer Cisco Meraki switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and dashboards.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VLANs, QoS, routing, and DMZ architectures.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
Systems and Cloud Administration
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identities and access controls.
- Support Azure resources related to networking, compute, and identity.
- Implement Conditional Access and MFA policies.
Messaging and Collaboration Platforms
- Administer Microsoft Exchange Online.
- Support and govern SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
- Monitor service health and resolve incidents impacting collaboration tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in network and systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, firewalls, LAN/WAN, VLANs, QoS, and DMZ design.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco CCNA or Meraki certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified administrator certifications
