Technical Customer Success Manager
Reports to: VP of Customer Experience
Location: Remote, EST hours
We're CorralData. CorralData uses AI to turn messy, scattered data into clear answers and next-step recommendations, minus the cost, complexity, and long timelines of a traditional data stack. Connect your sources, ask questions in plain English, and our platform surfaces insights, dashboards, and smart suggestions in minutes.
How We Work:
We're a startup for grown-ups. We keep ego low and expectations high, trusting each other to own outcomes, not shuffle papers. You'll get real autonomy, genuine ownership, and the chance to solve problems that matter for customers every day.
What We Look For:
- Pride in your craft and ownership of results
- Bias toward action and measurable impact
- Kindness, curiosity, and a no-drama mindset
If you want your work to count and you're ready to build category-defining products with a tight, supportive team, we'd love to meet you.
As a CorralData Employee you:
- Are a driver, not a passenger, and are looking to make a real impact leveraging emerging technology
- Thrive in a fast-paced, highly-iterative, and collaborative workplace where you take full ownership of your work and contributing to the success of others
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and know how to create clarity and momentum without waiting for direction
- Value feedback as a fundamental component of your growth
- Are curious, ambitious, and unafraid to take initiative
- Get energized by digging into the details of how data flows, connects, and can be shaped to tell a meaningful story
- Always seek out ways to optimize processes, work smarter, and increase efficiencies to generate successful outcomes across your own work and the greater team
- Are passionate about keeping up to date with the newest technologies, including AI, to provide our clients the easiest and most accurate way to access the transformative power of their data
Role Summary:
Most SaaS companies split the customer lifecycle across multiple teams. Customers meet one person during onboarding and someone else in customer success. Every handoff loses context and trust. We do things differently.
At CorralData, the person who onboards a customer owns that relationship for as long as they're a customer, and owns it as a guide, not a vendor. The customer holds the wheel; your job is to be their mentor along the way.
Technical Account Managers own the full lifecycle:
- New account onboarding
- Customer relationship
- Proactive account health and support
- Expansion and growth
What You'll Do:
Own the Customer Lifecycle. You'll own a portfolio of customer relationships from onboarding through renewal, using AI as a force multiplier while bringing the judgment that makes the output trustworthy. At any given moment you're onboarding one customer, deepening the relationship with another, and driving growth with a third.
Lead Customer Onboarding:
- Configure customer accounts, data connectors, and pipeline infrastructure, collaborating with engineering as needed
- Validate data integrity end-to-end before go-live
- Use our AI to model datasets and build SQL-based reporting tied to each customer's KPIs
- Train customers on the platform so they launch confident and self-sufficient
- Get the customer onboarded within 30 days
Drive Adoption & Value
- Keep every account on a steady cadence: weekly written updates, monthly live calls, and recaps within 24 hours
- Bring something new to every monthly call: a data app, a training session, or an insight they didn't ask for
- Respond to customer questions and troubleshooting within 1 business day
- Spot underused features and surface ways to deepen platform value
Manage Delivery
- Own project tracking across your portfolio, flagging dates before they slip
- Coordinate with engineering, product, and support to scope and deliver new integrations and features
- Communicate proactively when timelines shift or dependencies arise
- Log opportunities and expansion signals as you hear them
Drive Growth
- Own Net Revenue Retention (NRR) for your accounts, staying close enough to spot opportunities
- Identify and develop expansion opportunities across teams, locations, and use cases
- Build on successful implementations to deepen partnerships and drive renewals
What Success Looks Like:
- Customers launch within 30 days and hit a first measurable win in production
- Platform adoption deepens as customers connect analytics to real decisions
- Every account hears from you at least once a month, and never has to chase you for status
- Your accounts are engaged, expanding, and renewing
- NRR stays above target, driven by the relationships you built from day one
What We're Looking For:
You're hungry, and it shows: you take ownership, get things across the finish line, and bring real curiosity to every account. You're organized, able to juggle multiple accounts, and skilled at pulling the right people in at the right time to keep things moving. You see yourself as a guide who makes customers capable, not a vendor who does the work for them, and you're excited about AI's potential to transform how businesses use their data.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years in a customer-facing SaaS role
- Active daily use of AI tools in professional workflows. Candidates must demonstrate current, hands-on experience using AI to improve their work output
- Solid grasp of common business and marketing KPIs (e.g. revenue metrics, retention, conversion funnels, acquisition costs) so you can speak credibly with clients without needing to be walked through their own data
- Experience building BI dashboards (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
- Data literacy and QA judgment: able to spot when numbers don't add up, trace discrepancies back to their source, and validate outputs before they reach a client
- Strong communication and relationship management skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into concrete data requirements, bridging what a client is asking for and what actually needs to be built
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts or projects simultaneously against competing priorities
- Comfortable holding a steady weekly cadence across a portfolio of accounts
- Familiarity with ETL or data pipeline tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte and common data sources like GA4, CRMs, and paid media platforms
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary: $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience
- Additional Bonus Target: $40k/year
- OTE: $160k-$180k
- Healthcare, PTO, 401k, and life insurance
- Fully remote (US, Eastern or Central time zone)
