Sr. Systems Engineer

3Vi is a specialized engineering practice with offices across California. We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting major transportation, infrastructure, and public sector projects throughout California. This position is hybrid based out of our Long Beach, CA office with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering and systems integration activities for complex infrastructure projects.
• Develop system architectures, interface definitions, requirements, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate technical activities between multiple stakeholders, disciplines, and project teams.
• Support communications, networking, operational technology (OT), and related systems projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, analyses, and engineering documentation.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and system acceptance activities.
• Support bids, proposals, and additional projects as needed.
• Lead project meetings, site visits, workshops, and presentations.
• Travel domestically as required for client meetings, conferences, or project site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant systems engineering, systems integration, communications, infrastructure, or technology project experience.
• Transportation, transit, infrastructure, utility, or public sector experience is a plus.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $145,000 - $185,000, depending on experience
• Healthcare: medical, dental, vision.
• PTO and tuition reimbursement.
