About Gregory Packaging
Gregory Packaging is a fourth-generation, family-owned beverage manufacturer founded in 1922. We produce aseptic, paper-based carton beverages across five plants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, and Arizona. We own and operate three brands: SunCup 100% juice, GLAS spring water sourced from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and LockerBox Sports Nutrition.
About the role
We want to put AI to work across our business, and we're looking for someone who's already built this and can bring it to us. You'll find where AI agents and automation can actually save time or make money, then design, build, and run them. It's hands-on work. You won't be writing strategy decks. You'll report to the head of our Automations department.
What you'll do
Find the manual, repetitive work across our teams and brands and figure out where AI agents and automation make sense
Design, build, and deploy AI agents and workflows, including prompts, tool use, integrations with our business apps, and guardrails
Write and maintain the code behind it: integrations, APIs, scripts, and small internal apps
Run and evaluate local models when privacy, cost, or control makes more sense than the cloud
Test new models and tools as they come out, and tell us plainly what's worth using and what's hype
Train the team to use what you build, and document it so it doesn't live only in your head
Keep an eye on quality, cost, and data security in everything you ship
Must-haves
A real background in AI: current, hands-on daily use of AI assistants and agent tools like Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, and similar
A software development background. You write production-quality code (for example Python or JavaScript/TypeScript), work with APIs, and use version control. This goes well beyond basic scripting or no-code tools
Experience building agentic workflows that do real work: multi-step agents, tool use, or AI connected to business systems
Experience running models locally (for example Ollama, llama.cpp, LM Studio, or vLLM), including picking models and working within hardware limits
Can explain technical things in plain language to people who aren't technical
Good judgment about data privacy and when AI output needs a human to check it
Nice-to-haves
Experience with MCP servers or building custom tool integrations for AI agents
Experience with RAG (having a model pull answers from your own documents), fine-tuning, or model evaluation
Experience automating ecommerce or order operations (Shopify, Amazon)
A portfolio, GitHub, or write-ups of things you've built
Benefits
Medical insurance
