Accounting Operations Associate (Part-Time)

About Equated
Equated (Interlay, Inc. trading as Equated) is a small NYC startup building an AI accounting product. After we sell, customer receipts and transactions need to get into clean, reviewed categories via Claude/Codex with human verification.

The role
This is a hybrid accounting + AI workflow operations role — not traditional bookkeeping. You will:

• Run Claude/Codex categorization over customer receipts and transactions
• Verify AI output against source documents and reconcile discrepancies
• Improve prompts, checklists, and workflows based on what you find
• Build an edge-case library and file QA tickets
• Track quality metrics and review progress weekly with the founder

• Part-time: 20 hours/week, $20/hour (W-2)
• Ongoing, at-will employment with a 90-day review
• Hybrid in New York, NY — at least one in-person block in NYC each week

Who you are

• Sophomore or junior studying Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Analytics (recent grads welcome)
• Detail-obsessed and comfortable with spreadsheets
• Curious about AI tools and excited to use them every day
