Role Description The Civil Structural Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kennesaw, GA or Remote (outside of GA). This position is responsible for performing civil and structural engineering design for steam and power generation facilities, including foundations, structural steel, and site infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include conducting structural analyses, preparing calculations and technical reports, developing construction drawings and specifications, and coordinating designs with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams. The engineer will participate in project planning, support procurement and construction activities, review vendor and contractor submittals, and provide field engineering support during installation and start-up. The role involves collaboration with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering foundation: Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills, with experience in site layout, grading, drainage, and infrastructure.
• Structural engineering expertise: Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis skills, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and modeling tools.
• Project execution capabilities: Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholder communication.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related discipline); advanced degree is a plus.
• Licensure: EIT certification required or in progress; PE or SE license in a relevant state, or eligibility and intent to obtain, is strongly preferred.
• Technical proficiency: Competence with CAD and structural analysis software; strong skills in interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Industry experience: Experience in industrial, power generation, or utility projects is highly beneficial, particularly with steel structures, equipment foundations, and utility systems.
• Professional skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to work safely and effectively in field and office environments.
