KYB/KYC Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced KYC/KYB Onboarding Team Lead to manage the day-to-day onboarding process and support a team of analysts.

This role is ideal for someone with strong KYC/KYB knowledge who can review complex cases, make risk-based decisions, and help improve team quality and turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily KYC/KYB onboarding activities, case allocation, and workflow
• Review onboarding files and ensure proper risk assessment, CDD/EDD, SOF/SOW, and screening
• Oversee beneficial ownership checks, including complex company structures
• Act as the first point of escalation for difficult or unclear cases
• Coach and support analysts in making sound risk-based decisions
• Ensure files meet quality standards before submission to banking partners
• Keep the team aligned with current policies and SOPs
• Support training and onboarding of new team members
• Maintain accurate case tracking and provide updates to the Head of Compliance

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a KYC/KYB Team Lead, Senior Analyst, or Supervisor
• Background in fintech, banking, crypto, payments, or financial services
• Strong knowledge of: KYC/KYB and CDD and EDD
• Source of Funds and Source of Wealth
• Beneficial ownership and UBO checks
• Sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening
• Experience mentoring or managing analysts
• Strong attention to detail and good risk judgment
• Confident handling complex cases and knowing when to escalate
• Strong written communication skills
• Experience with KYC platforms such as Sumsub or similar tools
