Sales & Growth Hire — Build Pipeline, Learn the Full Sales Cycle, Help Scale CCA
If you are not comfortable spending 4–6 hours per day prospecting, calling, emailing, following up, and advancing opportunities, this role is not for you.
ABOUT CCA
Cannabiz Credit Association (CCA) is the B2B credit bureau and risk intelligence platform built specifically for the cannabis industry.
We aggregate real accounts-receivable and payment data from cannabis companies across the country, helping businesses understand who pays, who doesn't, and where credit risk exists before extending terms.
CCA members use the platform to run credit checks, monitor customers, identify delinquency risk, and make better credit decisions using verified industry payment data.
Our network includes hundreds of cannabis operators and many of the industry's largest MSOs. We're now focused on turning that foundation into a scalable sales engine — and this hire will help build it.
THE ROLE
You'll work directly with CCA's Executive Director to create pipeline, grow membership, and help build our sales organization.
In a typical week, you'll:
Prospect into hundreds of cannabis operators, brands, MSOs, and financial institutions
Make outbound calls, send emails, and consistently follow up
Work inbound, closed-lost, and self-sourced opportunities
Run first-touch discovery and qualify prospects
Book qualified demos and participate in them
Help move opportunities through the pipeline
Maintain clean, accurate CRM data and next steps
This isn't designed to remain a traditional SDR role.
You'll shadow the Executive Director on demos, progressively take ownership of discovery and follow-up calls, learn to run demos, and ultimately close business yourself.
The goal is to develop a full-cycle salesperson while building the repeatable sales processes future CCA hires will follow.
CCA Deal Readiness Check
Right Company Type | Right Person | Right History of Delinquency | Right Market | Right Stakeholders
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
Build, don't just execute. You'll help improve target lists, outbound sequences, messaging, CRM processes, and sales strategy. What works becomes part of CCA's sales playbook.
Learn to close. You'll be exposed to the full sales cycle from day one, with increasing responsibility as you prove yourself.
Sell real data. CCA demos can use a prospect's actual accounts and verified payment behavior. You'll learn to have meaningful conversations with owners, CFOs, controllers, credit managers, and AR teams.
Grow with the company. As you ramp, you can become involved in partnerships, strategic accounts, tradeshows, and broader business development. Travel is required.
WHO YOU ARE
You're a builder who wants ownership and growth, not simply a list of leads.
You're hungry to learn the full sales cycle and eventually close business.
You're comfortable with high outbound activity and can build rhythm around consistent calling and prospecting.
You're coachable, disciplined about follow-up, and understand that strong CRM habits are essential to building a scalable sales organization.
You can become fluent in conversations around accounts receivable, delinquency, payment terms, write-offs, and credit policy.
Experience selling data, credit, fintech, payments, financial services, or into cannabis is a plus — but not required.
HOW YOU'LL BE MEASURED
Touchpoints: Meaningful outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn activity, and follow-ups.
New Leads: Workable prospects sourced and added to the pipeline.
Meetings Held: Qualified discovery calls and demos that actually occur.
SQLs: Opportunities that clear the CCA Deal Readiness Check and enter the closing pipeline.
New Customers & Revenue: Ultimately, activity needs to produce new members and revenue.
The CRM is our system of record. Every active opportunity should have accurate notes, deal stage, and a clear next step.
You'll meet weekly with the Executive Director to review activity, pipeline, conversion, coaching, and blockers.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$54,000–$80,000 OTE, including commissions and bonuses.
Monthly healthcare allowance.
Company-paid travel for required conferences, tradeshows, and business development.
HOW TO APPLY
If you're still reading, don't just send us a résumé.
Email Mike at [email protected] with a short Loom video explaining why you want to work at CCA, why you're a strong fit, and why you believe you'd be successful building pipeline and eventually closing business.
We're looking for someone who wants to help build a sales organization — not just fill a sales seat.
