About the Role

Flosmart is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join its product engineering team and contribute to the development and enhancement of multiple technology products, including the Flosmart Bundle Platform, CRM, and other business applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across the MERN stack, along with practical exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure, MongoDB, asynchronous processing, file processing, and production application environments.

This role requires an engineer who can work across the complete application lifecycle — from understanding requirements and designing solutions to development, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across Flosmart's product portfolio.
Contribute to the development of the Bundle Platform, CRM, and other current and future products.
Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend and backend components.
Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and product planning.
Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to deliver features within defined timelines.
Frontend Development

Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.js.
Build reusable UI components and maintain a scalable frontend architecture.
Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Implement appropriate state management, form handling, validation, and error handling.
Optimize frontend applications for performance, scalability, and usability.
Backend Development

Design and develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
Design application architecture, business logic, authentication, authorization, and data workflows.
Implement appropriate error handling, logging, validation, and security controls.
Develop background jobs and asynchronous processing workflows where required.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services into Flosmart's products.
Database Engineering

Design and maintain Amazon Document DB databases and data models.
Develop efficient queries, aggregations, indexes, and database structures.
Identify and resolve database performance issues.
Ensure data integrity, security, and appropriate access controls.
Design data models that support scalability and evolving product requirements.
AWS & Cloud Infrastructure

Develop and deploy applications within AWS environments.
Work with AWS services such as:
S3 for file and object storage
SQS for asynchronous processing and message queues
SES for transactional email
EC2 / ECS / Lambda for application workloads
CloudWatch for monitoring and logging
IAM for access and permissions
Assist in maintaining application infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and production environments.
Follow appropriate practices for security, scalability, availability, and cost optimization.
File Processing & Asynchronous Systems

Develop and maintain workflows involving file uploads, storage, processing, and delivery.
Build asynchronous processing pipelines using queue-based architectures.
Handle large or time-consuming operations through background workers and job queues.
Implement appropriate retry, failure-handling, and monitoring mechanisms.
Work with document and data formats such as PDF, CSV, Excel, images, and other business files where required.
Develop automated email and document workflows using services such as AWS SES and S3.
Production & Engineering Practices

Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain production applications.
Diagnose technical issues across the frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure layers.
Identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
Write clean, well-structured, documented, and maintainable code.
Follow version control, code review, testing, and deployment best practices.
Contribute to improving application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
Required Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in JavaScript
Strong hands-on experience with React.js
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js
Strong understanding of MongoDB
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Good understanding of web application architecture
Experience with Git and version control
Practical experience deploying applications to production
Working knowledge of AWS
Understanding of asynchronous programming and background processing
Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and application security
AWS / Infrastructure ExperienceCandidates should have practical familiarity with cloud-based application environments and preferably experience with:

EC2
ECS
Lambda
CloudWatch
IAM
Experience with additional AWS services and cloud infrastructure is an advantage.Preferred Skills

TypeScript
Docker and containerized deployments

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
1–2 years of professional software development experience.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
Experience working in a product-driven or fast-paced technology environment is preferred.
