Community Impact & Data Specialist

The Opportunity

We’re looking for someone who thrives on turning data into meaningful stores about community impact. As our Community Impact & Data Specialist, you’ll play a central role in supporting our community engagement work across volunteerism, charitable giving, financial literacy and wellbeing programs, sponsorships, and community partnerships.

In this role, you’ll maintain accurate program data, build reports and dashboards, and track the metrics that show how our programs are performing. You’ll work closely with the community team and partners across the organization, helping turn data into insights that inform strategy, strengthen stakeholder reporting, and demonstrate the value of our investments in the communities we serve.

Hours – Fulltime

Compensation - $60-$80k annually (depending on experience, education, aptitude & equity)

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management & Administration
• Maintain accurate records related to community engagement, charitable giving, sponsorships, volunteer activities, financial education programs, and community partnerships.
• Collect, validate, organize, and manage data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Monitor data quality and integrity across systems and reporting platforms.
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and data tracking tools.
• Assist with administration of community engagement, volunteer management, grant management, and reporting systems.
• Reporting & Analytics
• Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Track key performance indicators for community programs and initiatives.
• Analyze program participation, volunteer engagement, charitable giving, and financial wellbeing outcomes.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for program improvement.
• Respond to internal requests for data, metrics, and program performance information.
• Community Impact Measurement
• Support the evaluation of community programs and initiatives.
• Assist in measuring program outcomes, reach, and participant engagement.
• Compile and analyze survey data, feedback results, and program assessments.
• Help develop meaningful impact stories supported by quantitative and qualitative data.
• Contribute to annual impact reporting and community engagement summaries.
• Program & Team Support
• Collaborate with Community Team members to establish and monitor program goals and performance metrics.
• Support the documentation and reporting requirements of grants, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
• Assist with project planning and tracking for community initiatives.
• Coordinate data collection efforts related to employee volunteerism and corporate giving programs.
• Support community events and initiatives as needed.
• Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting efficiency, and measurement practices.
• Assist in implementing new reporting tools, dashboards, and technologies.
• Recommend process enhancements that improve accuracy, consistency, and usability of data.
• Promote data-informed decision-making throughout the Community Team.

Education And/or Experience

This role requires Subject Matter Expertise and the ability to provide mentorship, guidance and training to other team members

Priority will be given to candidates with a well-blended understanding of business and IT systems, the ability to read and interpret documents such as complex system configuration documents, a working knowledge of Excel, Visio, core processing systems and integration, custom programming, and knowledge of reporting tools such as SQL, Tableau, Crystal Reports, in addition to a good working knowledge of project principles.

While this level of expertise will generally be attained with a minimum of 3 years in a previous role in reporting, program administration, data analytics, community development, nonprofit operations, or related field and a Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, public administration, community development, social science, or related field, priority will be placed upon the demonstration of the ability to meet qualifications without an absolute focus on duration of experience, in recognition that the attainment of such qualifications may be obtained at different paces by different individuals.
