Software Engineer II, Data Lakehouse

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We're looking for a Software Engineer to grow our Data Lakehouse team’s capacity for impact. The Data Lakehouse team provides the foundational infrastructure and tools that enable teams across the company to store, query, and analyze data at petabyte scale. This includes managing an incredible amount of event data across data platforms like Snowflake, ClickHouse, and Databricks: tens of billions of rows are inserted daily, shared with internal teams, and shared with external customers.

WHO YOU ARE

Experience and skills:

• Minimum 2 years (ideally targeted around 2 to around 4 years) of full-stack development experience. While our primary focus is on the back-end, we own our features end-to-end and regularly deliver front-end experiences
• Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
• A self-starter with great communication and organizational skills who has worked in a team environment before
• Willingness to learn the technologies required to deliver what customers need
• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Bonus points:

• Prior experience building software at scale, handling high volumes of data and traffic
• Prior experience with Python, Snowflake, ClickHouse, microservice architecture, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics
• Prior internships or work experience at a high quality tech companies

For candidates based in Canada, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between CA$125,280 and CA$235,736/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between CA$139,200 and CA$258,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this role qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that you will own a piece of our company.
