Senior Software Developer (ID#5541)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Backend/.NET) to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-scale applications and services with a strong focus on backend development, data architecture, database design, and end-to-end solution delivery.

The Senior Software Developer will lead technical design activities, modernize existing .NET applications, develop new enterprise solutions, and build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, vendors, and development teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, support, and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Support and modernize existing .NET applications while developing new enterprise applications and services.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing application architectures.
• Develop logical and physical data models supporting complex business processes and enterprise applications.
• Design and optimize database structures, schemas, stored procedures, queries, indexing strategies, and data integration patterns.
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Participate throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Perform application and database performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Apply architecture and integration patterns to support reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, vendors, and development teams to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on development standards, architecture patterns, coding practices, and engineering best practices.
• Support system modernization, platform refresh initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and support automated testing practices to improve application quality, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Extensive professional experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale backend applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Strong experience with backend application design and delivery in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, relational database design, and SQL.
• Experience designing and optimizing database schemas, queries, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and other database components.
• Strong experience with application and database performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and complex problem solving.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable application architectures and enterprise integration solutions.
• Experience developing APIs, web services, and integrations with internal and external applications and platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, development standards, and maintainable application design.
• Experience supporting the full Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Experience modernizing or enhancing existing enterprise applications and platforms.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to provide guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
• Experience with automated testing and software quality assurance practices is considered an asset.
