Executive Summary

The Engineer – Test Stand Interface provides a dedicated, on-site, design engineer to help innovate the way our testers interact with the test units and hydraulic test systems. This role will be focused on fixture design based on outputs from whiteboard meetings and floor feedback. Strong mechanical design experience with a background in automation and hydraulics is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and user interface creation for next generation hydraulic test systems.
• Attend design meetings and collect desired output from the team.
• Learn about current test system functionality and limitations
• Create model and assembly drawings
• Follow safety design practices such as guarding, interlocks, e-stops, etc.

Core Deliverables

• Full design model, bill of material, and assembly drawings of test stand interface
• Vendor list and proof of manufacturability for all designed items.
• Quote and procurement activity

Skills and Experience Desired

• Strong skills in modeling, prints, and shop documentation
• Experience with mechanical systems and automation best practices
• Ability to understand and interact with complex mechanical/hydraulic systems
• Basic knowledge of software/controls
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
• Balance functional safety with external industrial aesthetics
