Lead Application Developer

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Development Lead with deep, expert-level expertise in Angular to guide the front-end strategy and end-to-end cloud execution for enterprise web applications. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority for our web interface architecture while leading a high-performing engineering team in building resilient, serverless back-end systems on AWS.

You will spend significant time driving front-end excellence—establishing modern UI/UX patterns, state management architecture, and performance standards—while managing Node.js and AWS Serverless implementations on the back end.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Architecture & Design: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Angular across the team. Define front-end architecture, enforce modular design patterns, optimize runtime performance, and ensure strict web accessibility (WCAG) and security standards.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and conduct high-quality code reviews for full-stack developers, elevating the team's engineering standards in TypeScript, RxJS, and modern Angular practices.
• Full-Stack Execution: Bridge front-end client applications with back-end microservices, writing clean, maintainable code across both Angular and Node.js.
• Cloud & Serverless Delivery: Architect and deliver scalable serverless back-end solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and event-driven patterns.
• Component Libraries & State Management: Build reusable component libraries/design systems and manage complex client-side state models across multi-team codebases.
• Agile Engineering Governance: Collaborate with Product, Design, and Architecture teams to break down complex requirements into technical deliverables, maintaining CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable deployments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Front-End Excellence (Core Requirement)

• 6+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Angular (modern versions 14+ through current releases).
• Advanced mastery of TypeScript, RxJS (reactive programming, complex observables, data-stream management), and NgRx / Signals for robust state management.
• Expert knowledge of Angular performance optimization techniques (Lazy Loading, OnPush change detection, Web Workers, Bundle optimization).
• Strong capability in creating custom component libraries, enterprise design systems, and responsive layouts (HTML5, SCSS/SASS, CSS Grid/Flexbox).
• In-depth understanding of browser security standards (CORS, XSS mitigation, CSRF, OAuth2/OIDC flows in Single Page Applications).

Back-End & AWS Cloud

• Node.js Proficiency: 3+ years of experience building scalable asynchronous RESTful APIs and middleware services in Node.js.
• AWS Serverless Ecosystem: Proven hands-on experience building and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Working knowledge of cloud databases (AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL/Aurora) and event/messaging systems (SQS, SNS).

Leadership & Process

• 2+ years in a Technical Lead or Lead Developer role, with a proven history of setting technical direction, guiding code reviews, and mentoring team members.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automated front-end testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, or Playwright).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Solutions Architect).
• Experience with Micro-Frontends architecture or Monorepos (Nx).
• Prior experience in financial services or large enterprise compliance environments.
