Position Overview

BalanX Bio is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy as we grow from an early-stage technology company toward commercialization and broader expansion.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on financial planning, fundraising, budgeting, investor relations, financial operations, and long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the company’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning.
• Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial decisions, resource allocation, and growth strategy.
• Support fundraising efforts, investor preparation, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Build financial reporting systems, internal controls, and scalable finance processes.
• Monitor company spending, financial performance, runway, and capital requirements.
• Support pricing, commercialization, partnerships, and future revenue strategies.
• Coordinate with accountants, legal counsel, financial institutions, and other external advisors.
• Identify financial risks and help establish appropriate governance and compliance practices.
• Build and oversee the finance function as the company expands.
• Qualifications
• Strong experience in corporate finance, strategic finance, accounting, investment banking, venture capital, or related fields.
• Previous CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, Controller, or senior finance leadership experience preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Experience with startups, AI, biotechnology, healthcare technology, or research-driven companies is preferred.
• Understanding of fundraising, investor relations, startup financing, and financial due diligence.
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.
