AI Engineer

Unize is seeking a full-time AI Engineer to help us build Web 10, an advanced, societally beneficial design for the future of knowledge work, operating systems, and the internet. As the main AI Engineer on our team, your primary focus will be building Unize AI, a long-term initiative improving how people and AI can work together on knowledge and collaboratively achieve goals. You may also contribute to other AI initiatives. You’ll build AI workflows (essentially AI agents and AI harnesses) using Python or JavaScript, ideate on how to improve them, and create/run automated evaluations/benchmarks for those workflows so we can see if our improvements work. Familiarity with any of the following is helpful: building AI agents/harnesses, creating and running AI benchmarks/evaluations, RAG/GraphRAG, integrating AI into apps (MCP, model routing, etc.), graph databases, and knowledge management apps.

While we’re interested in candidates with applied AI experience, strong full-stack developers with a demonstrated interest in AI will also be considered. If you are familiar with full-stack development, especially with JavaScript, you could also help with integrating AI into Unize, including building an MVP server, tool registry, and even full-stack user-facing AI features.
