Role: Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer
Fulltime/W2 - Infinite Computer Solutions
Remote Role
We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer to support an enterprise on-premises data center migration. You will lead SQL Server database migration, validation, performance, and stabilization for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and migrate SQL Server databases and dependencies
- Design target database architecture and migration strategies
- Execute backup/restore, replication, validation, reconciliation, cutover, and rollback
- Develop T-SQL/SQL scripts and automation
- Improve database performance, reliability, monitoring, and recovery
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, QA, security, and operations teams
- Track delivery and changes using Jira and ServiceNow
Requirements
- 8+ years in database engineering, architecture, or migration
- Expert-level SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning
- Experience with data center/infrastructure database migrations
- Strong knowledge of data validation, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and production support
- Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
Nice to Have: Fintech/payments/banking experience, VMware, Windows Server, Splunk, Dynatrace, or Moogsoft.
