About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to design, build, secure, and manage our company IT infrastructure from the ground up.

You will take ownership of establishing a secure environment across Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), identity and access management, networking, endpoint security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

A key focus will be creating a secure remote development environment that protects company source code, credentials, intellectual property, and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure company IT and Azure infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for remote employees and developers.
• Configure Azure networking, DNS, private connectivity, firewalls, and security controls.
• Configure identity, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and privileged access.
• Implement Zero Trust and least-privilege access.
• Harden and secure Windows/AVD environments.
• Implement endpoint protection and EDR solutions.
• Restrict unauthorised downloads, uploads, clipboard, local drives, USB, printing, and file transfers.
• Restrict personal repositories, cloud storage, email, file-sharing platforms, and unapproved AI/SaaS services.
• Secure GitHub, developer tools, terminals, browsers, and IDE environments.
• Implement application control, web filtering, and network security controls.
• Establish centralised logging, monitoring, alerting, and audit trails.
• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, backup, disaster recovery, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Test security controls and maintain infrastructure and operational documentation.
• Provide licensing, cost, architecture, and security recommendations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud, systems, or security engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strong identity and access management experience, including MFA, SSO, RBAC, and Conditional Access.
• Strong Windows administration and security-hardening experience.
• Azure networking, DNS, firewalls, private networking, and secure remote access.
• Endpoint security and EDR experience.
• Secure web gateway, application control, and data-protection experience.
• Experience securing GitHub, source code, credentials, and developer environments.
• Infrastructure monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery.
• PowerShell and infrastructure automation experience.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and least-privilege security.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and independent delivery skills.

Preferred: CrowdStrike Falcon, Cloudflare Zero Trust, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel/SIEM, Terraform/Bicep, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, vulnerability management, and relevant Azure/security certifications.
