About the role
We are looking for a Finance Lead based in NY to establish the finance infrastructure for the global business from 0-1. Specifically, this role will lead as the owner for international financial operation and infrastructure building, serve as the trusted finance business partner for the global business teams, while maintaining close partnerships with HQ finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Foundational Finance Capabilities 0-1: establish the core finance infrastructure for the global business from scratch, including expense and reimbursement systems, procurement/purchasing workflows, budget approval processes, and the day-to-day operating processes that keep the finance function running.
- Lead Finance x Business Partnership: partner closely with global business teams to provide the financial view behind local decisions. Own budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for the local managed cost elements. Monitor spend against budget and flag issues early;
- Own Financial Operation Accuracy: safeguard the completeness and correctness of international financial operation, including accruals and period-end integrity.
- HQ Team Collaboration: coordinate closely with China HQ accounting, tax, and treasury functions to deliver accurate results, maintaining smooth reporting workflows and global compliance.
Qualifications
- At minimum bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experiences in accounting, FP&A, or related field.
- Proven ability to build finance processes and systems: you have built the infrastructure, not just operated it.
- Strong finance background spanning accounting review and business analysis:you understand how the books are made, and you can own budgets and reporting.
- Reviewer's rigor: you are able to deliver your evaluation based on viability, catch errors, and safeguard accuracy rather than just process transactions.
- Self-directed ownership: you enjoy a build-as-you-go environment and are comfortable with hands-on work at the frontline.
- CPA preferred or equivalent is preferred (e.g., CMA, or a relevant degree with strong experience).
- Bilingual capability in English and Mandarin is strongly preferred to collaborate seamlessly with HQ teams.
