Serac Inc builds filling, capping and cup-filling packaging machinery for customers worldwide.
We're looking for a senior automation engineer to lead projects end to end - hardware selection, mechatronic integration, all the software, then out to the customer site for startup. 🚀
🛠️ What you'll do:
- ⚡ Lead automation projects from concept and hardware selection through industrialization
- 💻 Develop all required software - Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, structured text, motion control
- 📋 Manage the project - budgets, timelines, suppliers, documentation, compliance
- 🤝 Mentor internal and external engineering teams on troubleshooting and technical decisions
- ✈️ Run field trials, validation and training at customer sites
🎯 You're a great fit if you have:
- Significant Rockwell from-scratch programming background - Siemens a strong bonus
- PLC and motion control depth with structured text; C++/.NET familiarity a plus
- Hands-on troubleshooting across PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation and 480VAC
- Safety standards knowledge - ISO 13849, IEC 60204, NFPA 79, SISTEMA
- Packaging or industrial machinery OEM experience - machine builds, not plant maintenance
- 7-10+ years in automation/control systems, or a BSEE
