Company Description
Doplex Labs is a two-person stealth team building Belay, an open-source experience layer for coding agents. Belay reads Claude Code and Codex sessions locally, surfaces the mistakes agents keep repeating, and carries approved lessons into future sessions. Our first evaluation is public: getbelay.vercel.app/whitepaper. We're based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work with open source contributors remotely. This is an open source contributor volunteer program.

Role Description
Please note that this is an open-source volunteer role, not employment; there is no compensation at this stage. Remote, contribute at your own pace; optional weekly office hours with the founders. You'll work in the public belay-engine repo under your own name: building detectors over real session data, MCP tools that agents use to read evidence, and the evaluation tooling for our next benchmark study. Stack is Go and SQLite with Claude Code and Codex integrations. If this becomes a company, the people who built it with us are the first ones we call.

Qualifications

• Solid in Go or Python; you've shipped something people used
• You think from first principles
• You've actually used Claude Code or Codex, ideally daily
• Comfortable with Git and code review in a public repo
• Interest in agent reliability and evaluation; rigor over hype
• Students and early-career engineers welcome
