Full-Stack Web Developer & UI/UX Designer

Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Full-Stack Web Developer with UI/UX design experience to maintain and improve our Shopify website, custom learning management systems, and web infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has strong Shopify and full-stack development experience and can work across front-end design, back-end functionality, databases, integrations, hosting, and servers.
This role will also support the continued development of VECTRA’s custom Learning Management System. We need someone who can independently identify issues, recommend solutions, and continuously improve our websites and digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development & Maintenance
• Maintain and improve our Shopify website.
• Build landing pages, service pages, product pages, collection pages, and custom sections.
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Fix layout, mobile, checkout, app, and website functionality issues.
• Manage Shopify products, metafields, metaobjects, templates, and integrations.
• Support website updates for campaigns, launches, and business requirements.
• LMS & Full-Stack Development
• Develop, maintain, and improve VECTRA’s custom learning management systems.
• Build and improve learner dashboards, administrator portals, course libraries, and user accounts.
• Develop course access, enrollment, progress tracking, assessments, completion, and certification features.
• Build front-end interfaces and supporting back-end functionality.
• Manage databases, APIs, authentication, permissions, and platform integrations.
• Connect the LMS with Shopify, Zoho, payment systems, reporting tools, and other platforms.
• Troubleshoot LMS functionality, data, access, performance, and user-experience issues.
• Customize and scale the LMS for different clients and use cases.

UI/UX Design & Website Performance

• Create wireframes, page layouts, and responsive designs using Figma.
• Translate designs into functional Shopify and LMS pages.
• Improve website speed, accessibility, navigation, and Core Web Vitals.
• Improve user journeys, calls to action, forms, lead capture, and conversion flows.
• Maintain consistent typography, imagery, components, and layouts across all platforms.
• Proactively recommend design, usability, and conversion improvements.
• Servers & Web Infrastructure
• Maintain hosting environments, servers, domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and deployments.
• Support platforms such as Vercel, Azure, Cloudflare, or similar services.
• Monitor uptime, performance, backups, security, and infrastructure costs.
• Troubleshoot hosting, deployment, domain, API, and server issues.
• Recommend improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.

Integrations, Automation & Tracking

• Connect Shopify and the LMS with Zoho, payment tools, forms, and other business systems.
• Connect leads, customer data, and course or product activity with CRM, email, sales, and reporting systems.
• Support automations using APIs, webhooks, Zoho, Zapier, Make, or similar tools.
• Implement and maintain GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and heatmap tools.
• Track forms, product views, add-to-cart activity, checkout, purchases, registrations, and course activity.
• Troubleshoot tracking, integration, automation, and data-flow issues.
• Explore practical uses of AI to improve operations, reporting, workflows, and user experience.
• Development Process
• Manage development through GitHub, development branches, staging, testing, and QA.
• Test changes before releasing them to production.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and QA checklists.
• Clearly communicate progress, risks, blockers, and recommended solutions.

• Proactively identify technical issues and improvement opportunities.

• Requirements

• At least three years of experience in web or full-stack development.

• Strong Shopify and Shopify 2.0 experience.

• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive development.

• Experience with a back-end technology such as Node.js, PHP, Python, Laravel, or similar.

• Experience working with databases, APIs, authentication, and user permissions.

• Ability to develop and maintain custom web applications beyond Shopify.

• UI/UX design experience and proficiency in Figma.

• Experience creating wireframes, page layouts, and user flows.

• Experience with Shopify themes, sections, metafields, products, and collections.

• Experience managing hosting, servers, domains, DNS, SSL, and deployments.

• Familiarity with GitHub, staging, version control, and QA workflows.

• Experience with GA4, GTM, conversion tracking, APIs, and third-party integrations.

• Basic understanding of SEO, website performance, accessibility, and CRO.

• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and proactively recommend solutions.
