InDesign Developer / Designer

ROOTLOGIK Background:

ROOTLOGIK is a company that provides data driven solutions to medium- to large-sized businesses. We are currently looking for an InDesign Developer / Designer (specific to experience in Adobe InDesign & Scripting) to support a leading Automotive client.

Key Responsibilities:

The InDesign Developer / Designer (specific to experience in Adobe InDesign & Scripting) will be responsible for, in conjunction with our client, designing, developing and maintaining digital marketing templates created in Adobe InDesign. This individual will also be responsible for integrating these templates into our custom applications to support our client.Daily activities will include some or all the following:

• Collaborating with the client and creative designers (if applicable) to create new and update existing digital marketing templates using InDesign
• Creating and updating InDesign code-base / scripting to enable automated processing of data to enable marketing material creation
• Monitoring to ensure various marketing system processes required by the business are performing as expected
• Working with the various team members to trouble shoot and resolve process issues
• Running quality check to ensure the process is running correctly
• Creating ad-hoc and automated reports based on client needs

In addition to daily activities, the InDesign Developer / Designer is responsible for helping to develop business solutions that will improve quality, accuracy, and/or and improve cycle time. To meet these needs the InDesign Developer / Designer will be expected to:

• Work with the client and team to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business and needs
• Work with the client to develop, document and/or execute solutions to support the business

Supporting client reporting needs and ad hoc requests. The InDesign Developer / Designer is responsible for supporting the client by responding to their ad hoc requests.

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Must have fluency working in Adobe InDesign. No exceptions.
• Must have fluency working in Adobe ExtendScript. No exceptions.
• Fluency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Required)
• Developing reports utilizing our standard reporting tools
• Writing and executing database SQLs and InDesign scripting
