Software Engineer – AWS / Data Integration

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a technology team responsible for building and supporting a business-critical sales platform. This role offers a strong mix of application development, cloud engineering, data integration, automation, and platform reliability.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across the technology stack, from developing APIs and data pipelines to improving cloud infrastructure, automated deployments, testing, monitoring, and overall platform performance. What You'll Do

• Design, build, and enhance scalable applications, APIs, and data integration solutions.
• Develop and support data pipelines and ETL processes that move information across multiple systems and platforms.
• Build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services within AWS.
• Improve platform stability, scalability, performance, and overall reliability.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments.
• Support environment management, release activities, and production deployments.
• Create and maintain automated testing across unit, integration, API, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and performance testing.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and assist with incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Incorporate security, compliance, and engineering standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to modernize and improve existing applications, integrations, processes, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and other technology teams within an Agile delivery environment.

What We're Looking For

• Strong software development experience using Node.js and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience building solutions within AWS, particularly services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and S3.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications.
• Experience with ETL, data integration, data warehousing, and database technologies.
• Experience designing and developing secure, scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code technologies, preferably AWS CDK.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of automated software testing and modern quality engineering practices.
• Experience using Git or similar source-control platforms.
• Previous experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.

Preferred Experience

Experience developing technology within complex, highly regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare is a plus. Candidates who have worked with large-scale data integrations, cloud modernization initiatives, or enterprise platforms will be especially well suited for this opportunity.
